Get Canned FAQs


Q.  Can I attend Get Canned if I am employed?
A. Absolutely! Get Canned is open to everyone over 21 that hoping to make invaluable contacts, celebrate the clean slate the New Year will bring, and wanting to support a worthy cause: The Food Bank For New York City.

Q.  Can I attend if I do not bring 2 non-perishable food items?
A.  Yes! If you arrive at Get Canned empty handed, the admission is only $10. This fee covers entertainment, complimentary canned beverages from our sponsors, automatic entrance to our luxury raffle, access to our Elevation Lounge where you can receive complimentary career coaching and chat with employment agency professionals, personal trainers, and licensed make-up artists. In addition, every guest will receive re-usable, eco-friendly gift bags with various goodies and coupons for products and services. 

Q.  Can I bring a friend or three with me to Get Canned?
A. You are welcome to invite as many friends, colleagues, and family members as you like. You can pre-register by clicking HERE to make your check in process quick and easy. 

With more and more companies cutting holiday parties, Get Canned is a great opportunity to get in the festive spirit and do something good at the same time!

Q. Can I make a donation to The Food Bank For New York City if I am not attending Get Canned?
A.  Yes. We have a specific link set up for Get Canned supporters. Please click HERE if you would like to make a financial contribution in our event's name.

Q.  Can I volunteer my time and help out at Get Canned?
A. Please! We love volunteers. From registration staff or gift bag assemblers, we will need help making every detail come together. If you are interested in volunteering please send an email to Suzanne Hogan, of Milk and Honey Events: suzanne@milkandhoneyevents.com

Q.  Can my company become a Sponsor or Partner of Get Canned?
A. Get Canned is open to all opportunities. Specifically, we are looking for gift bag sponsors and raffle contributions. If your company has a product or service that you feel would benefit professionals in the New York City area, please email Suzanne Hogan at the address listed above.
